Reka "Brand"
As was revealed by a representative survey conducted by DemoScope market research in the fall of 2006 in the German-speaking and western part of Switzerland, 81% of the Swiss population has already heard of Reka. Within 6 years it was possible to increase the level of brand recognition by 10%. The improved market position with 15-24 year-olds is particularly gratifying as well as the conclusion that almost 30% of the total population is receiving and using Reka-Money. The increasing popularity of the Coop as a distribution channel for Reka-Checks may have had a positive effect on the increase in its recognition and use. It is primarily the Reka-Check that is shaping the “Reka” brand as a product. 73% of the public understands what Reka-Checks are. 47% of the total population knows what Reka holidays are. Today, the public perception is that the brand name "Reka" stands for trust, reliability, and good value for money, for family-friendly holidays in Switzerland and for the Reka-Check, that makes these holidays and excursions even cheaper. Moreover, more than half of the Swiss population knows that Reka is involved with a social holiday assistance program.
The “Reka“ brand is also recorded in the Swiss Federal Institute for Intellectual Property and consequently protected. Likewise, the brand name is registered with the Madrid System for the International Registration of Trade Marks.
