New salary statement and Reka payment instruments
The new salary statement applies as from the 2007 tax period. In the instructions for completing the new salary statement, Section III Benefits exempt from declaration states: Reka-Check benefits up to CHF 600 per year (only need to be declared if the benefits exceed CHF 600 per year).
Seven of the ten biggest employers in Switzerland offer their employees Reka payment instruments totalling on average between CHF 1,000 and CHF 1,500 with a discount of 20%.
Also exempt from declaration are the usual Christmas, birthday and similar gifts up to CHF 500 per event. Reka-Checks are classed as vouchers and can be issued for such events as gifts. Up to CHF 500 per event is exempt from declaration.

Social value instead of shareholder value
By issuing Reka money, you're not only making a valuable contribution to the well-being of your employees but are also contributing indirectly to the socially disadvantaged by enabling them to go on holiday. Since its inception, Reka's goal has been to help these people so they too can enjoy holidays. Income earned by Reka from its commercial activity goes to help social holiday initiatives such as free holidays and discount holidays (last year some CHF 2 million were used for this purpose). Thanks to healthy growth and innovation, Reka is able to sustain its social commitment over the long term. |
