Blatten-Belalp is an exciting holiday resort in unspoilt countryside, with winter sports and summer attractions up to 3,000 meters above sea level. The village is at the gateway to the unique UNESCO World Heritage site of Aletsch-Bietschhorn-Jungfrau and not far from Brig and the international railway axis Bern – Milano.
Together with the municipal authorities of Naters, the Reka is investing CHF 28 million to build a new-generation Reka Holiday Village. The family-equipped holiday resort comprises 50 homes, an indoor pool, childcare infrastructure and entertainment as well as other highlights. Particular attention will be paid to the resort’s energy concept. With Minergie standard isolation, heat pumps and solar-panel heating as well as photo-voltaic electricity production the Village will be practically independent regarding its energy production.
Building of the resort, which is planned with a public car park, kicks off in spring 2012 and should be finished by autumn 2014. The grand opening is planned for Christmas 2014.
